This one-day workshop (both experiential and didactic) is for anyone who is curious about the power and potential of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) to increase vitality and reduce distress in their personal and professional lives. This workshop is designed especially for those who are new to ACT and/or who are familiar but who would like to review the basics. Participants will (learning objectives):

  1. Briefly review the ACT model and its philosophical and theoretical principles
  2. Explore the 6 core processes of the ACT Hexaflex
  3. Engage in an in-depth values authorship/clarification exercise
  4. Learn to apply ACT principles to the process of increasing psychological flexibility in service of creating a life of vitality
