First Responders Mindfulness Practice Meeting
with Erik Hulse, CMT-200

September 6 (Friday)
at 5:45 pm

Class length
60 minutes

Location
On Site at Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness 11100 Ash Street Suite 103 Leawood, KS 66211

This practice meeting is specifically tailored to the unique experiences and needs of first responders including active and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, military personnel, EMT/paramedics, and dispatchers. First responders are exposed to critical incidents and chronic stressors that contribute to a higher prevalence of negative health outcomes compared to other occupations. Psychological resilience, a learnable process of positive adaptation to stress, has been identified as a protective factor against the negative impact of burnout. Cultivating mindfulness can help us develop greater resilience.

Fees (click to purchase):
Please bring your badge or commission card to your first meeting and arrive at least 5 minutes early. Dress comfortably (the practice room is a shoes off space), and if you'd like you are invited to bring your own meditation and yoga mat - we have folding chairs, spare cushions and mats to loan. The interior office area is kept locked for privacy and security reasons. So, if you arrive late and class has already started, the facilitator may not hear you to let you in. Remember, no refunds are provided for missed classes. Arriving early also allows time to set up a cozy spot with any equipment and props you might need to be comfortable before the class begins.
