This time of year has many of us pondering, "What is love, anyway?" The practice of mindfulness can help embody its essence, so that we may discover for ourselves what it means to love and be loved. Lovingkindness, Compassion, Appreciative Joy and Equanimity are four beneficial and interconnected states of mind that can be cultivated with practice. This two hour workshop will offer an experiential exploration of these four attitudes. Research suggests that a subset of these practices are associated with increased positive and  decreased negative mood states, reduced stress-induced subjective distress and immune response, and enhanced activation of brain areas involved in emotional processing and empathy. Attend online via Zoom - you can read about our online etiquette here https://mindfulness-alliance.org/offerings/online-offerings/.
