Mindfulness in the Movies: Forrest Gump and Beginner's Mind
with Shane Ledford, CMT-200, CYT-200

ONLINE

June 16 (Wednesday)
at 7:00 pm (GMT-05:00)

Class length
120 minutes

Location
Online via Zoom

Join certified mindfulness teacher and film buff Shane Ledford as he continues an exploration of Mindfulness in the Movies in this unique and fun workshop exploring the Academy Award winning move, Forrest Gump. Forrest may be the most mindful protagonist in American cinema, and we will discuss how his present moment awareness and beginner's mind attitude impacts his life, those around him, and world history.

This will be a discussion only workshop with the possibility of an ending meditation depending on time.  While Shane will facilitate discussion and provide examples of mindfulness in the film, participants are encouraged to have watched (or re-watched) the film recently perhaps with a mindful awareness, and are welcomed to ask questions and offer their own insight in an informal conversation much like a book club gathering.

The Zoom URL will be emailed to you upon registration. There's a two part process to registering for our classes:
