Mindful Musical Listening

Join Cathan Kabrelian, CMT-200, on a journey of mindful listening. This class will offer several useful techniques for training your attention with music. With a degree in music and decades of performing and teaching, Cathan has explored mindful awareness while listening, composing, and playing. She will guide participants in a practice of listening deeply and connecting through the universal language of music. As a universal language, music lives in all of us, even if we have never learned to sing or play an instrument. This class will help cultivate a trust within, a deep listening to ourselves, and the courage to release the music inside of us. Bringing mindful listening to our experience of music has the potential to strengthen not only our awareness but our understanding of how music moves us as human beings.
