Can a consistent practice of community supported mindfulness meditation have a measurable positive impact on our daily lives? In the spirit of allowing direct experience to be our primary arbiter of truth, MAM is offering an opportunity to experiment so we can all find out for ourselves. From May 3 through May 28, 2021 participants in the project:
  • commit to practicing mindfulness at least 30 minutes daily for the duration of the project
  • receive a FREE one month MAM membership during the month of May (existing members will have their membership renewal date extended by one month)
  • complete a self-report Google survey measuring mindfulness and wellbeing before the project begins and again after the project ends
  • are invited to anchor each week (on Monday and Friday mornings from 6:30 - 7 am) with an optional 30-minute instructor led community mindfulness meditation via Zoom. Guidance will be offered for settling in/getting started and transitioning out, but the bulk of the meditation will be in silence to allow for personal exploration.
  • are invited to choose from any of MAM’s FREE to members or member discounted offerings to help round out the remainder of their weekly practice (class suggestions will be provided in an orienting email). Participants will also receive a pre-recorded mindfulness meditation each week that can be used for self-practice. Access to a list of alternative practice resources will also be provided.
  • will privately receive their own before and after self-report results. De-identified, consolidated results will be shared with the community.
