Are you interested in exploring art and creativity as a means of knowing yourself and growing in mindfulness? This 20-day course invites you into deeper insight through multiple intuitive art, drawing concentrations, and collage practices. These mindful, creative practices free us from conscious thinking and judgment, allowing us to open new pathways for insight. This is not an art course nor do you need to think of yourself as artistic or creative.
Weekly Zoom meetings + independent practice:
The class begins Saturday, Sept 11, with live 90-minute Zoom sessions on Saturdays until Oct 2 (four total). During the week, you will receive 5-6 email practice prompts to practice the type of mindful art for that week. Over the three weeks, we'll be doing 1) intuitive art, 2) mindful drawing, 3) collage for insight. The final fourth session will be for course and practice reflections.
You do NOT need to be a member of the Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness to take this course but you will need to create an account so we can message you about the class.
