Get back to simplicity with Shane and Tracy for a more traditional retreat practice consisting of stillness, walking and eating meditation Friday April 12th through Sunday April 14th at Hollis Renewal Center, 20 minutes west of downtown Kansas City. Accommodations are rustic with over five miles of hiking trails that crisscross the 153 acre wooded property.

This secular mindfulness retreat is intended for people who have attended one or more silent retreats in the past and who are feeling resourced enough for longer periods of stillness and silence. We are offering a very simple container, protected from the usual distractions of living, in which you can more easily and clearly observe the inner workings (habits and patterns) of your own mind and body in community.

Our days will be held in companionable silence. Simple vegetarian meals will be served for mindful eating and we will alternate sitting together in silent meditation with periods of mindful walking. There will be three teachings offered designed to help deepen the practice and work with any obstacles that arise. Personal or small group mentoring will be available as needed. We will have a cozy fire in the practice room fireplace in the evenings.

When: April 12-14, 2024 (check in Friday morning from 9-10 am and check out Sunday at noon)

Where: Hollis Renewal Center 11414 Kansas Avenue Kansas City, Kansas 66111
