In challenging times, we can uplift each other through random acts of kindness, good humor and encouragement. Join us in community to co-create little handmade and heartfelt artistic “gems” with meaningful messages to share. Assembled with found and recycled materials, no special talent is needed - just simple cutting, pasting and assembling - and maybe an open heart and a sense of humor.

We’ll start with a mindfulness practice to explore intentions and widen the aperture of our imaginations. Then we’ll be guided in the creation of Kindness Coins and Good Humor cards with pictures and words from magazines, decorative paper, and markers. We’ll have materials on hand, but you’re also welcome to bring your own if you’d like.

You can take yours home, gift them to others, or leave them in random places as a delightful surprise. We’d also love it if you could make some coins and cards for an upcoming Art Rising event we’ll be volunteering for later this year.
