Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness 11100 Ash Street Suite 103 Leawood, KS 66211
Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness (MAM) is collaborating with Jason Wang, a ceramics major at the Kansas City Art Institute, to present his senior project Elsewhere: A Meditation on 3 Questions. Join Jason and meditation teacher Erik Hulse for this very special FREE event.

Jason is creating a series of ceramic tea bowls based on 3 deep questions he has confronted in his personal life. One of those questions will be inscribed on handmade coasters accompanying each tea bowl. Participants will be invited to select a bowl to meditate upon with the guidance of the meditation teacher. Tea will be available for your mindful enjoyment as well. Following the meditation period, Jason will answer questions about his project. Participants may also purchase their tea bowls for $20 if they wish. We will be recording part of this event in order for artist Jason Wang to fulfill his Senior Project requirements for KCAI. If this changes your decision to attend the event, please let us know and we can cancel for you. Your attendance indicates your permission for recording.

Jason Wang is a ceramic artist living in Kansas City. He intends his sculptures and vessel work to invoke a strong emotional response in order to further the dialogue about identity, mental health and mindfulness in contemporary America. Jason is pursuing a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in KCMO. He was awarded a scholarship to take part in a workshop at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado and has exhibited in group exhibitions at Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in KCMO.
