Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness

Mindfulness at the Movies: Groundhog Day
with Shane Ledford, CMT-200, CYT-200

ONLINE

February 2 (Tuesday)
at 7:00 pm (GMT-06:00)

Class length
120 minutes

Location
Online via Zoom

Join certified mindfulness teacher and film buff Shane Ledford as he continues an exploration of Mindfulness in the Movies with an interactive discussion of the film, “Groundhog Day.”  On the surface, the film is an enjoyable romantic comedy, but it has many mindfulness themes. The protagonist finds himself reliving a single day, over and over, until an awakening and loving kindness allows him to break free.

This will be a discussion only workshop with the possibility of an ending meditation depending on time. While Shane will facilitate discussion and provide examples of mindfulness in the film, participants are encouraged to have watched (or re-watched) the film recently perhaps with a mindful awareness, and are welcomed to ask questions and offer their own insight in an informal conversation much like a book club gathering.

The Zoom URL will be emailed to you upon registration. There's a two part process to registering for our classes:
