Lovingkindness is friendliness, goodwill, and warmth for ourselves and others. We can cultivate this state of mind through lovingkindness meditation (LKM), an ancient practice with many research-supported benefits. This workshop will enable participants to:
- Review the origins of LKM
- Name the sublime states of mind (of which Lovingkindness is one)
- Differentiate what lovingkindness is from what it is not
- Summarize the research-based benefits of LKM
- Create personalized phrases and review the steps
- Practice lovingkindness meditation under guidance
