Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness

Mindfulness in the Movies: Holiday Special
with Shane Ledford, CMT-200, CYT-200

ONLINE

December 15 (Wednesday)
at 6:00 pm (GMT-06:00)

Class length
120 minutes

Location
Online via Zoom

Join certified mindfulness teacher and film buff Shane Ledford for his ongoing Mindfulness in the Movies explorations.  A common theme in many beloved classics this time of year is the search for joy… and we will examine how characters find it (and give it) simply by being mindful.  Discussion will include the films “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “A Christmas Carol,” and even “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.”

This will be an online and discussion only workshop with the possibility of an ending meditation depending on time.  While Shane will facilitate discussion and provide examples of mindfulness in the films, participants are encouraged to be familiar with the movies, and are welcomed to ask questions and offer their own insight in an informal conversation much like a book club gathering.

The Zoom URL will be emailed to you upon registration (US Central time zone)
