Our 8-week MSC enrichment series is for participants who have completed the
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) foundational course, which teaches participants a new, mindful and supportive way to respond to discomfort and offer ourselves kindness. This post-course series provides 1) a way for MSC “graduates” to stay socially connected and supported, 2) opportunities to discuss, reflect and continue to practice key MSC skills, and 3) a pathway to continue to deepen an attitude of kindness and friendship toward oneself and others. The MSC enrichment series offers a safe space to take a “deeper dive” into MSC topics/concepts (i.e. inner critic, resistance, backdraft, self-kindness, connecting to the yin-yang of MSC, stages of progress, etc.), explore practice-based challenges (i.e practicing mindfulness, self-judgment, difficult emotions, gratitude, etc.), address unanswered questions, clarifications, and receive supportive experiences (i.e. responding with MSC, maintaining your practice, group support, etc.). These 8-week sessions will be generally informal and discussion-rich with teacher led guided practice opportunities. This particular series will be offered simultaneously online so those who cannot attend in person can still participate.
