Mindfulness Based Cognitive Training is an 8-week course adapted from Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) that combines cognitive behavioral skills and self-compassion with mindfulness attitudes and practices to help participants relate differently to their inner experiences. MBCT is a research supported approach to preventing the relapse of chronic depression and it is also proving useful with anxiety. The course includes handouts, eight weekly 2-hour classes in the evenings, and a half day retreat on a weekend from 9 am - 1 pm. Participants receive access to guided practice recordings and are encouraged to purchase the MBCT self-help guide to continue the practices after the course ends.

This is a skill building course meant to compliment psychological treatment, and should not be considered therapy. Registrants are required to:
  • complete the pre-class paperwork here https://forms.gle/5m3U6QvtZD2c9B7R8
