Did you know an open heart can change the world from the inside out, one person at a time? Many of society's most pressing problems arise from fearful closed-heartedness and a false sense of separation. We hope you might join us to help heal these wounds through 30 days of compassion cultivation, including the heart-practices of loving-kindness, appreciative joy and equanimity. A consistent practice of compassion cultivation meditation designed to strengthen self-compassion, interconnection, lovingkindness, equanimity and appreciative joy have a measurable positive impact on our health and wellbeing, our daily lives and the way we show up for others.

- Welcome Gathering & Orientation - Sunday July 2, 2023 from 6-7 pm (you will be automatically scheduled for this upon registration)
- Closing Gathering - Sunday July 30, 2023 from 6-7 pm (you will be automatically scheduled for this upon registration)
- Optional Community Practices during the month of July (please register for the practices you wish to attend using our calendar):
- 30-minute "Open Hearted" Practices at various times throughout the month
- Linking Lives Tuesdays at 12:10-12:50 pm
- Morning Mindfulness Thursdays at 7-7:45 am
- Community-Wide Mindfulness Gathering Thursdays at 7-8 pm
- Friday July 7th LGBTQIA2S+ Affinity Group at 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Participants in the project will:
- receive two pre-recorded workshops teaching about the heart-practices (The Four Loves: Cultivating Sublime States of Mind and Lovingkindness: Roots, Science and Basics - a $90 value). You are encouraged to view these workshops before the program begins if possible.
- receive free practitioner level membership during the month of July if you aren't already a member. This will allow you to attend our regularly scheduled practice meetings for free. Those of you who are already paying members receive a 20% discount off the cost of this adventure.
- gather for an opening welcome meeting and orientation in which we will complete a self-report survey measuring compassion and well-being, discuss the heart practices and instructions for the adventure, and enjoy our first community practice. This gathering will be recorded and shared for participants who can't attend live.
- commit to practicing compassion cultivation meditation at least 30-minutes daily for the duration of the adventure. This can be broken up into shorter increments as needed. Pre-recorded compassion cultivation meditations and alternative practice resources will be provided each week for your self-practice. Our regular community practice meetings will be themed on the heart practices and we will be offering optional 30-minute instructor led community compassion cultivation meditations via Zoom throughout the month.
- gather for a closing meeting where we will enjoy our final community practice, discuss our experience, and say goodbye. We will also reserve time to complete the post-adventure questionnaire (you will privately receive your own before and after self-report results and de-identified, consolidated results will be shared via email with the community and on social media). This gathering will be recorded and shared for participants who can't attend live.
