Listening to our own hearts, the hearts of others, and the shared heart of community.

Join us for a four hour mini retreat of practices for inward and outward listening. Together, we’ll explore how we might "listen" with our senses and awareness beyond the ears, and what it feels like to attend to what we hear with compassion.  The day will offer a variety of contemplative practices (meditation, music, journaling, movement, etc.)  All are invited to come, belong, and participate to their level of comfort.

Our time will include:
  • Grounding Arrival & Intentions Setting – creating the conditions for listening and hearing.
  • Guided Meditation & Inner Listening Practice – practices to allow the heart's messages to be noticed.
  • Mindful Eating Practice – savoring nourishment with gratitude.
  • Drumming & Practice for Listening Beyond the Self – sharing in the flow of communal rhythms.
  • Reflective Journaling - writing or drawing as an expression of hearing.
  • Gentle Movement & Closing Meditation – hearing the body in motion and at rest.
We’ll conclude with a closing circle with the option to share about the practice experience. All are welcome to join in this time for compassionate listening and community connection!
